[SN 1109103087] USED Taylor / 814ce/ES1 [2013] Taylor Acoustic-Electric Grand Auditorium [08]
The 814ce features the Taylor GA shape (Grand Auditorium), Bob Taylor's first original design. It boasts figured maple binding around the body perimeter and fingerboard, a spruce top, rosewood sides and back, a mahogany neck, an ebony fingerboard and bridge, and gold tuners bearing the Taylor logo.
This is a model from the high-performance ES-1 system era, which was used for a long time until the introduction of the ES2 system.
Strap pins replaced with Schaller type; battery box replaced. Shows signs of use (color fading, multiple small dents on body, scuffs and wipe marks, picking marks, neck back shine from playing, tarnish/bits/rust on metal parts, etc.). One metal fitting on the hard case is broken.
Setup completed upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, fret leveling, battery box replacement). Fret height is lower due to leveling but remains playable. Truss rod tested to 60° on both sides and confirmed functional.
